In the eyes of some of our posters, I believe this is their answer to our current system of governance:
- people will voluntarily agree to private agreements
- these people agree to agree to the agreements
- in case of any disagreement there are clauses for handling those disagreements
- when they disagree on other aspects of the agreement they agree to agree to the clauses for when there are disagreements
- if they agree to agree to the clauses for when there are disagreements, they agree to agree to the decision of some third party "authority" they agree will help them reach agreement to their disagreements, but this authority isn't like other authority because they agree this authority is different
- no one will disagree with the rulings of the agreed upon authority because they have agreed to agree to the determination of this agreed upon, private authority
- All parties involved will honor this system because their reputation could be damaged if they are seen as causing problems
So as long as everyone agrees to adhere to the agreements that have been made, even when there is no longer agreement, there will be no problems.
What could go wrong with that?
