It was good briefly under Eddie Sutton in the late 70's, it was good briefly under Nolan Richardson in the mid 90's, and it appears poised to be good now that they have hired Mussleman. Outside of those periods they have had almost no success.
They won the 8/9 first round game in 2008 and beat 15 seed Wofford in 2015 and the 8/9 game in 2017. Those were their only NCAA tourney wins this century until Musselman was hired. If Musselman leaves they will probably return to not relevant.
