with post players and physical forwards, we can play inside out and she’d be getting more open shots. She would look different on a much better team.
As for a post game worthy of the SEC, I’m not holding my breath. Whether on purpose or subconsciously or by accident RP seems to attract players in her own mold.
I was really high on Williams, thought she had a lot of promise, played really well most of the season, and she finished in the top 10 in the nation in FG %. But she has limitations too. But she can’t do it alone. Maybe it’s unfair to say so this early, but I’m not thinking Linthacum or Kelly is the answer. Like others, based on how highly touted she was coming in, I expected Kelly to compete for playing time and that never happened. The freshman coming in from Texas has good size and promise, but I never count on freshmen until they prove it.
Best hope is to get a quality big on the transfer market. If that isn’t RPs #1 priority in the off season it’s coaching malpractice.
