4-3 last week (why didn't I make ALABAMA an official pick?) and 29-26 on the year ATS. We lost the MU game by half a point but I was still giddy about the win!
This week MIZZOU (+13) hosts what is clearly a very strong Georgia team. MU has all the intangibles going for them, (momentum, weather, enthusiasm) but now that Georgia has figured out their QB situation, they are a lot stronger team than they were earlier in the year. Also they appear to be getting healthy. I hesitate to make this an official pick but MU is 4-0-1 at home ATS this year (according to VSIN, who had the Arky game at 2) so I'll ride the hot hand for my pick but I don't expect that I would actually put "toothpicks" on this one.
Let's take Georgia 38-28 but I do feel the Tigers have a legit shot at this game. Let's GO!!!!!
I am digging deep here but I really like TROY (+13.5) against Coastal Carolina, honestly this is just such a trap game for Coastal I feel I have to take the points.
In a similar fashion I will take OREGON STATE (+3) who has been battling all year against a Stanford team without a home. I figure that wears down the Cardinal this week.
I feel like Auburn (-6.5) is so bad on the road I have to take MISSISSIPPI STATE. Now, if I miss this pick by 20 points I wouldn't be shocked but I might suggest sprinkling a bit on the Bulldogs who might be able to score enough to get an Auburn team with a bit of external pressure to crack.
I can't believe I can take TENNESSEE (-14.5) who has just fallen apart in recent weeks but I think Vanderbilt is an even bigger mess. I am a bit surprised they are playing this one.
I feel like the wrong team is favored when Wisconsin (+2.5) travels to IOWA. Iowa is the team with momentum and Wisconsin has been limited on offense after lighting up Illinois.
Finally I promised my NEBRASKA (-10.5) followers at least one Husker game in the picks this year. The Huskers appear to be figuring things out on offense. At first glance this line appears a bit high but with Minnesota coming off a layoff, I'll take the home favorite.
Big opportunity for our ranked Missouri Tigers tomorrow!
That's all for this week! Good luck to your (non Bulldog) team!
