I’ve heard that Dickson had a concussion a couple weeks ago and hasn’t practiced which is why she played so little.

I thought Troup looked like a different player. She was quicker, smarter, and much more aggressive. If that was the real Troup, she will contribute this year.

Dembele looked like she could be a star. Great speed, vision, and awareness.

Blackwell went out of control a few times, but overall I thought she was better controlled. I don’t recall any bad shots from her.

Frank has spent some time in the weight room. Much stronger and did more inside work than last year. I love watching her play.

Defense was lame first half but sucked it up second half.

Turnovers weren’t as bad as the stats looked. Shug had 4 in just a few minutes, and another 2-3 came from trying to force inside to Troup who was mismatched (believe it or not) against their miniature point guard, who may have been the tiniest college player I’ve ever seen. It was a clever plan but didn’t work and resulted in a few TOs before they quit trying.

Williams looked like the real thing. Strong, active, and goes to the rim.
