Well, I guess I should have quit while I was ahead. After a 2-5 ATS performance last week I have now given back my great 6-0 start and am 21-21 ATS on the year.

Honestly, I loved MU vs. the spread but I let peer pressure to not be "a homer" to get me to take the OVER instead. While that bet looks horrible with a 17-10 MU win, had Shi Smith not gotten hurt I think it would have at least been live. MU decided at half time they had enough points to win the game and played things super conservatively as a response to that.

I am THRILLED the Tigers are 3-3 against the SEC and I will take any win we get, that includes this Saturday where the Tigers are rightfully a heavy favorite.

I will jump into Saturday's games. Even though there are some compelling games Friday, I don't like any of them as wagering opportunities.

Vanderbilt (+14) at MIZZOU - this line has moved from the odd Monday open of MU -17 and yes, I am going to jump all over it. Vandy has some positives working for them (good FR QB, plays MU tough in recent years and a decent performance against Florida) but I think we need to keep things in perspective. Florida had REALLY weird travel patterns getting to Vanderbilt's stadium and once they woke up in the second half, they were pretty dominant. I like the home team quite a bit this week and I think we stay a little more aggressive with the lead.

MU BIG 41-14

Iowa State (+1) at Texas - I keep hearing (jacka**) Tom Hermann may be in trouble at UT. Surprisingly his horrible personality isn't bringing in the best Texas HS talent as recruits. Maybe I'm biased but I'll take the tougher team here. GIVE ME IOWA STATE and if it leads to Herrmann in the unemployment line, so be it.

Georgia (-21.5) at South Carolina - I think some folks are getting a little too excited about the UGA offensive efficiency against MISSISSIPPI STATE! I can't take this team by 22 against almost any SEC team and while the FR QB for South Carolina is limited, I think he will make few plays here. Give me the other USC and the points.

Northwestern (-13.5) at Michigan State - Again, not a great offense. I can't give 14 points with this team on the road. Give me MICHIGAN STATE

Texas Tech (+11) at Oklahoma State - Cowboys bounce back against a limited opponent here. COWBOYS BIG

K-State (+5.5) at Baylor - I'll take the Cats. It's probably a mistake as they look horrible right now but Baylor isn't much either and despite the COVID issues, I can't believe Klieman has lost the team.

That's all for this week! Good luck to your (non Commodore) team!
