He only won 23 games his final season at MU and accordingly found himself on the wrong end of the bubble, unfortunately heading to the NIT postseason tournament. MU got 6th in the SEC. It was not the type of season anyone wants for the program, and certainly not up to the caliber of his prior seasons as the head coach at MU.
