What you are quoting is their changed story. Has anything changed in how we treat people? Do we have a vacine? Did anyone go without a hospital bed or ventilator?

The answer to these questio is no. That said, is it still likely that it saved lives? Yes. But there are also clear historical statistics on unemployment and mortality, and in this case it is even worse as we shut down all preventive care as well
