exponentially larger. OSU cooperated throughout the process, the NCAA agreed both that OSU did not benefit in recruiting or commit any recruiting violations, and the NCAA agreed that the coach was acting solely for his own personal gain. OSU then immediately terminated said coach when learning of the violations and the current coaching staff is not names in any of the accusations.
Contrast that with ku who has fought the NCAA every step of the way, clearly benefited largely in recruiting and committed all the violations specifically for that reason, and both the head coach and assistant are known to have participated in the violations to accumulate talent to their roster improperly. Upon learning of the violations ku indicated they were victims of Adidas, then signed a multimillion dollar agreement with them and defended the coaches in an absurd manner and retained them without punishment.
This coach got a 10 year show cause. If the NCAA is even somewhat evenhanded Self should be looking at a 15 yr or longer show cause from the NCAA.
