I said big mistake to not quarantine people returning from overseas. Think young woman from St. Louis County. Horrible failure.
Never said shut down everybody. Horrible move.
Said we face a greater threat from it coming across southern border, from it taking hold in homeless population. We shall see how that plays out.
Added masks as part of the solution about halfway through, as doctors and nurses started dying. Never suggested masks are the magic bullet. I have a niece who is a paramedic, and another who is a nurse.
There is a minority of people not smart enough to protect their own self interest, which, in our "connected" society, means looking out for the other guy's interest to a certain degree. What they don't get is they might damage their own supply line, by assuming they are invincible, and never a danger to others.
Overall, my comments have been closer to Govs of Fla. and Tx, rather than, eat drink, and be merry for tomorrow we all die; and nowhere near close to "grind the economy to a screeching halt". Wearing masks doesn't halt the economy. Anyone who tries to portray wearing masks as doing that, is a bald faced liar.
