Since we don’t have any idea how Williams, Linthacum, and Kelly will perform at the D1 level.
My gut tells me a team with 2/3 of these post type players on the court at the same time for any decent period of time is not going to be our most effective line up, since it leaves only 3 positions open for: Blackwell, Frank, Dickson, Dufficy, Dembele, Green.
If Dembele is as good as we think she is and gets a lot of playing time, that leaves only 2 spots for the other 5 players. And I’m not even counting Smith, the Aussie, who may well be in the mix.
There is so much talent on this team I think we will be better with a smaller, quicker lineup. This is going to be RPs biggest challenge as a coach, trying to figure out how to use a lineup which seems to go 10 deep. Yes we need to have some size on the court so we don’t get beat up inside and dominated in rebounding. But my preference would be to play only one of the bigs at any time and rotate 4 of the following in at the other starting positions: Blackwell, Frank, Dufficy, Dickson, Dembele, Green, Smith.
