He was a two-time all-conference player and honor roll student, and he’s finished his degree. He gave them everything they could have expected and then some.

If at any point the school decided he wasn’t, they could have pulled his scholarship and sent him packing. His coach, meanwhile, was actively courting other opportunities just a few months ago.

The school is hardly getting screwed here.
