apparently very smart and basically was a real-life "Catch Me if You Can" figure.

he did not go to medical school but was a doctor for a while and by all accounts a pretty good one. He also never went to flight school and flew commercial airliners for a time.

He had enough money that he never really needed to work and was just smart and bored I guess. also very abusive.
