MPJ plays in all of two games. Jontay doesn't return after season 1. Tilmon gets injured this year which is a big reason we are in a 4 game losing streak (losing to A&M at home??), and some seemingly quality recruits have not lived up to promise. These are all set backs that are not quickly resolved and have impacted the Tigers over 3 straight seasons. Had it not been for Barnett's suspension, Martin may have gotten to Mizzou's first final four in his first season but we'll never know.
Obviously some of the issues are on the coaching staff. Our inability to produce points first and foremost. I'm not ready to give up on Martin yet. He's had an unparalleled run of bad luck even for Missouri. Unfortunately, we don't have many scholarships to give so there may not be immediate help next year. That said, this team SHOULD not be terrible. They were not terrible early in the season. Not sure what's going on.
