has to do with the respect many Mizzou fans have for her efforts over the course of her career here and the contributions she has made to the program. I think most everyone feels for her, this is not the way she envisioned her senior year going, that's for sure.

It was expected that in her senior season, she would become the leader of the team on the court, with Sophie graduating. And that hasn’t happened. I don’t think it’s in her, and I don’t mean that in a mean sense at all. With her skill set and personality, she fit in very well as the second or third option on the team. Case in point are the games against Miss St the last 2 years. Last year, with Sophie leading the way in a monumental upset in Starkville, Amber played a key role with 16 valuable point in a great performance. This year, at home, she scored 2 points and you could hardly tell she was on the court. I just don’t think she is cut out to be the main option and leader on a team.

Many fans are disappointed and frustrated with her inconsistent play in her final season. I just don’t think she was ever cut out for the leading role on the team. She thrives, and improved each year, and was a valuable contributor when the primary players were Sophie, or Ciera Porter, or Frericks.
