the old school, team first (for the most part) kind of guy like Scott Rolen appreciates it. They like anonymity and the fact that they can be out in public and their families not get harassed constantly.

The new generation look at me guys aren't interested. STL isn't NY or LA and there's not enough going on to give up the hanging out with starlets. They're more worried about promoting a brand and becoming this year's "it" person. Nothing wrong with that, it's smart from a business after baseball perspective, but it's definitely a different mindset.
