There’s sort of an unwritten sportsmanship rule that when a game is out of hand and the clock winding down, you let the winner just dribble the last few seconds away so the darn game can just end. But I’ve seen plenty of cases when the losing team keeps on pressuring the ball until the final second. I think it’s just ingrained in Blackwell, with her high motor and competitiveness. That didn’t bother me at all.
Greens was just a silly frustration foul. No big deal. It doesn’t seem to be a pattern with her. I actually like Greens competitiveness and spirit. She is fearless, one of the few players on the team who will actually take the ball hard to the basket, against much bigger players.
Now if someone could just teach her how to shoot a free throw. Jeez, she is even worse than Blackwell, who sets a low bar to start with. After going 0-4 from the line yesterday she has hit 14-30 on the year, .467 clip. That’s awful. When your FG % is anywhere close to your FT % there a real problem.
