When we first joined the SEC, one of the premises for us doing so well in basketball was how low caliber the coaching was in the league. Stackhouse at Vandy is kind of an unknown and Frank Martin/Pearl/Will Wade are probably below avg, but pretty much all 10 others are good to really good and even those below avg guys recruit pretty good.
I like Cuonzo quite a bit, but its pretty hard to argue he isn't in the bottom half of the league coaching wise and that is based entirely on the strength of the other program's coaches.
Hard to believe that 11 of the 14 programs have brought in a new coach since 2015.
Kentucky Wildcats ---- John Calipari ----- 2009-
South Carolina Gamecocks ---- Frank Martin ----- 2012-
Auburn Tigers ---- Bruce Pearl ----- 2014-
Florida Gators ---- Mike White ----- 2015-
Mississippi State Bulldogs ---- Ben Howland ----- 2015-
Tennessee Volunteers ---- Rick Barnes ----- 2015-
LSU Tigers ---- Will Wade ----- 2017-
Missouri Tigers ---- Cuonzo Martin ----- 2017-
Georgia Bulldogs ---- Tom Crean ----- 2018-
Ole Miss Rebels ---- Kermit Davis ----- 2018-
Alabama Crimson Tide ---- Nate Oats ----- 2019-
Arkansas Razorbacks ---- Eric Musselman ----- 2019-
Texas A&M Aggies ---- Buzz Williams ----- 2019-
Vanderbilt Commodores ---- Jerry Stackhouse ----- 2019-
