this is clearly an NCAA tournament team. No reason not to give them a big girls schedule.
Whether they can compete for a top 16 national seed and home regional is another question. But why not try with a challenging schedule? Just playing really good teams in non conference play helps your RPI, win or lose. And beating a few of them really enhances your NCAA resume.
Why not at least try?
I can just about guarantee you that Sophie, Cierra, Amber, and the highly touted freshmen coming in would rather play a more challenging non conference schedule rather than a bunch of mediocre teams and some cupcakes.
