Carpenter has to go up too but I am getting tired of his inconsistent play season after season. We gave up on Voit too soon without ever giving him real AB's last season. Then its like we drew sticks on OF's realizing we had a plethora and decided to trade away Pham and Mercado. At least Pham would easily be starting this year over Bader and Mercado would probably be giving Fowler a run for his money too.

On Yelich, the word is the Marlins only made him available after Ozuna. The STL beat writers all say Yelich was the preferred pick but we were told he was unavailable. After Ozuna, Yelich wanted a trade and Marlins changed their stance. The funny thing about that is the Cards actually gave up more for Ozuna than the Brewers did. Both the pitchers involved in the deal are in the starting rotation for the Marlins today and both are young.
