Cuonzo did that, we went from an incompetent coach to a real coach.
We only won 20 games, never challenged for a conference title, and lost in the first round of the tourney...that isn't bringing the program back. Michael's contributions were being the main driving force of losses in the two most important games of that season, those were the only two games he played in.
Teki had 7 games of 15 or more points as a Tiger. Had he not been injured he would have had many more. But he did get injured, so he didn't realize his potential here. That is similar, but greater, than Michael.
