She is a versatile athlete who can catch, play 1B, and play the outfield.
She’s listed as 5’6, which means she is maybe 5’5. She can’t play 1B in D1. And likewise she can’t play the outfield. She is a DH, and supposedly can catch, although we didn’t see much of that. And that’s it. Have no idea what the ULL situation is at catcher.
I think she will probably do well at DH there, based on what we saw here. And she (and Martin) will be seeing a lot weaker competition level there than what they saw at Mizzou and in the SEC.
Just funny to see their coach just make up stuff about her being a versatile player who can play multiple positions. Gotta keep the fans happy I guess.
She can definitely hit the crap out of the ball as a DH. She will do well there, against much weaker competition, if she gets consistent at bats.
