If he made $20-50 on every kid at his high school, as he claimed, invested all of it in bitcoin in early 2016, and got out at its peak, that's a couple hundred thousand.

Even with less modest profits from his iPhone repair hustle and less ideal bitcoin market timing, he should have a pretty nice savings account built up already.
