I do suspect he regrets leaving MU. Although I also don't think he is particularly bright or well connected (he was essentially duped into taking the MU job in the first place and did so largely based on his perception of the program via the MU/Arkansas rivalry from the late 80's/early 90's). So it likely isn't a topic he really contemplates.
He kind of deviated too far from his blueprint that worked with his last recruiting class at MU. We ended up with a bunch of guards without length and more offensive minded players that lacked athleticism and lateral quickness, and he only knew how to coach one way. It was a good roster, just not well suited to his system. I don't think there is any chance he wins 30 games in 2011-12 by staying, particularly after Bowers got injured for the season. He needed lots of depth, athleticism, and length. That team had none of those things.
