for how the SEC softball season plays out, that results in Mizzou finishing in a 3-way tie for 3rd place with LSU and Florida, 2 teams we did not play.

Bama beats Kentucky 3-0, and LSU 3-0.
LSU loses to Bama 0-3
Tennessee beats Ole Miss 2-1, TAMU 3-0
Ole Miss loses to Tenn 1-2, and to Georgia 1-2
Auburn loses Monday to UK, and goes 1-2 against Florida and Arky
Mizzou goes 2-1 against both Miss State and SC
Florida goes 2-1 against Auburn and 3-0 with Miss St
Kentucky beats Auburn Monday, then loses 0-3 to Bama
Arky goes 2-1 against both TAMU and Auburn
SC goes 2-1 against Georgia, 1-2 against us
Georgia goes 1-2 against SC, 2-1 with Ole Miss

That would produce these final standings:

20-4 Alabama
16-8 Tennessee
14-10 Missouri
14-10 LSU
14-10 Florida
13-10 Ole Miss
12-12 Kentucky
12-12 Arky
11-13 Auburn
10-13 SC
10-14 Georgia

If my math is right, that is. That’s how crazy the 2019 conference race could easily be.

We could even go just 3-3 the rest of they way, in this scenario, and finish no worse than 6th, which would be remarkable.
