Hillary was the favorite going into the 2008 primaries, but by June the writing was on the wall, leading to the Clinton-Obama peace conference at Diane Feinstein’s DC mansion in 2008. She would play nice, she would bide her time, and in the meantime she would be named Secretary of State, and be allowed to build the Clinton Foundation money machine. In return for big dollars from the Russians, there was her promotion of the “Russian Silicon Valley” in Soklovo, which turned out to be a Russian operation to steal American military technology, and Russia acquiring 20 percent of the USA uranium supply.
Clinton was not only corrupt, she wasn’t very smart either, and conducted all of her SOS email communications through a home-brew server with criminally deficient cyber-security, allowing the Chinese to acquire access to her confidential governmental communications.

Meanwhile, the Obama administration is busy weaponizing federal agencies, as evidenced by the IRA (almost certainly with establishment Republican complicity) going after the Tea Party movement. There was also weaponization of the DOJ, FBI and other components of the intelligence apparatus. As evidenced by FISA Judge Collyer’s April 2017 report, there was massive abuse of the NSA surveillance database, almost certainly for partisan political purposes. What does that mean? Spying on the political opposition, certainly, but likely also the digging of dirt for use in blackmail schemes to coerce cooperation, silence, etc.

Hillary was not likeable enough to win the 2008 election, and she was not any more likeable in 2016, but with the favors owed on the investments made in the Clinton Foundation, she HAD to win the 2016 election . Bernie would have won the Democrat nomination if not for the DNC cooking the books for Hillary with the super-delegate arrangement. As Trump emerges as a formidable player, Clinton and the DNC fund Fusion GPS to dirty up Trump. With the assistance of allies in the weaponized FBI-DOJ, they get the federal intelligence apparatus to help them. And when Obama and Rice lie to the nation and the world about the cause of the Benghazi debacle, Congressional hearing are opened, and Hillary’s use of a private server comes to light. The weaponized FBI does its best to sweep it under the rug (with Strozk completely ignoring the Chinese access to her server).

Then the unthinkable. Hillary loses to Trump. It was never supposed to happen. Hillary is in such deep doodoo, she loses it, she doesn’t even have the composure to be able to give a concession speech. Her dirty deeds are going to bite her big time if something isn’t done. The same DOJ-FBI team that swept the private server under the rug turns into the Mueller team and turns its sights on Trump. They would be pleased it they could take Trump out, but the first order of business is to cover up the extreme corruption of the Clinton and Obama teams. Go on the offensive, behind the scenes work to erase the evidence and coerce silence from those involved in Uranium One, domestic spying operations, etc. The DOJ and FBI are in so deep that to save the skin of the conspirators, and for others to salvage the credibility of the institutions, there is extreme staff and institutional motivation to help.

But it looks like the scheme is coming to an end. Trump survives because he was so squeaky clean that they couldn’t find sufficient dirt to bring him down even with their spying. Did Mueller's behind-the-scenes cover-up work well enough to keep the big players from justice? I don’t think there is appetite in D.C. to go after them. There is too much dirt on big players on both sides of the aisle. I think Barr puts a stop to the Mueller hoax, there will be hearings and punishment of fall guys like McCabe, but that’s it. The corruption is so endemic, I don’t think our Constitutional Republic ever fully recovers. Unless Barr turns out to be a courageous patriot. I am not counting on it.
