We are absolutely not in “good shape” in the frontcourt...

Yes Garner has nice size. And zero experience in D1. Will she make an immediate impact? Freshmen often don’t. See Troup. See Berg.
Schuchts is a strange frontcourt player, doesn’t fit any stereotypes. Plays a lot out on the perimeter, where she has a decent 3 point shot, though inconsistent. I would hardly even characterize her as a classic power forward, that’s just not her skill set. She gives us valuable minutes from time to time, but for long stretches has no impact at all on games. Tahane is similar.
If that’s all we have next year we are in big trouble, not “good shape”.
If we land Mack, and maybe another transfer, and Garner is the real deal, then yeah, we might be able to hold our own inside next year.
That’s a lot of ifs.
