it takes about 5 acres of solar to produce 1 megawatt.
(sometimes less).

1 gigwatt = 1000 megawatts.

ergo 1 gigawatt would require 5000 acres of land. In reality probably more. But not 2,500,000,000 acres as you stated. Jesus even for you..............
