Bury some of your empties in the the big corner piles of snow.
When all the snow melted in a month or so, and your wife inquired about all the beer bottles in the yard, just reply with, “…there must be a hobo living in the neighborhood. - I’M ON IT!”
Then, go to the bar with your buddies and scheme up a way of getting rid of the “not-real” hobo living in your neighborhood.
