point of contention - in this case, the 3rd and 10 pass that should have been called pass interference.
To assume that the game, and that play was fixed, one has to start working out in their head how they got to that point.
Seems odd that if the NFL/refs were going to fix the game, they would wait until the game was tied 20-20 with under two minutes to play.
And if they were willing to fix the game... why did they even allow the saints to get all the way down the field to take the lead on a FG.
If the refs are there to fix the game, all they had to do is call a fictitious holding penalty to negate a big gain by Brees.
And its odd they would allow it to come down to a coin flip (which the Saints won), if they are willing to go to such lengths to fix it for the Rams.
