College Sports Madness softball preseason picks...

with the emphasis on Madness. But it all that’s out there for softball fanatics that I know of until the first preseason top 25 polls come out. They predict the top 44 teams, and they are down to #22, Michigan, who they strangely say will only finish 2nd in the B1G, despite returning a ton of talent including one of the best 10 pitchers in the country, sophomore Megan Beaubain. All she did as a freshman last year was go 33-6 with a 1.16 ERA and 266 strikeouts in 217 inning. I guess they are picking Minnesota to win the conference, lol.
Missouri checked in at #32, which actually may not be too far off the mark, and other SEC teams include 36 Ole Miss, 25 Auburn, and 24 Miss State.
Only 21 teams to go, and it’s easy to say who they are, although the order on this website will certainly be strange:
9 more from the SEC, including TAMU at least at #21, which is very questionable given their losses to graduation and transfer. Then Arizona, ASU, Oregon, UCLA, and UW from the PAC; Ok, Texas and Baylor; Florida St, Minnesota, and 2 non P5 teams, ULL and James Madison.
