but you seem to be arguing she should play 10 instead of 11. Not sure that would make an appreciable difference. I’ve wondered if we would be better off with a 7-8 player rotation to give players like Berg, Troup, and Levy enough playing time to get comfortable. The question is who sits more. And of course, no one has consistently stepped forward with offense to help out Sophie and Amber. All the others seem to have their brief moments, but can’t sustain it over multiple games.
Inability to score is the biggest problem on this team. The missed shots at Florida were just atrocious. There are very few, if any, girls on this team who can create and get their own shots whenever they want them, and take over a game offensively. And no, Sophie is not one of them. She is a great player, but that’s just not in her skill set. 3 pointers, layups, and free throws are how she scores. What I wouldn’t give for an offensive talent who can create her own shot and pull up and consistently hit a 10-12 foot jump shot. Seriously, who on this team can do that?
