VERY few fan bases support a loser. That's just reality. In 2014, Mizzou played for the SEC championship. 2018, not so much.
When you couple that with what happened in 2015 (like it or not, that is part of it), this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
When the team isn't winning and playing for something real, they could do some things to help, but they don't. Lower ticket prices would help a lot. My group is dwindling due to the high ticket prices and donations needed for parking. And parking for non-parking pass holders is a disaster (as in, there isn't any) for a group to go to a game or two and tailgate a little (not even on a paid-per-game basis like other schools have that I've been to). I know somebody who wanted to come to a game, but it was just too hard for them to figure out parking (and they should have planned better). But, it should be easier.
And in case anybody is wondering, I'm a TSF donor and sat thru every second of every game this year, even the cold one and the cold and rainy one. And I really have no idea if we're going to renew our tickets next year. I'd like to, but I may be the only one. At most, we'll have two and we had 9 at one point.
