spent some time reading Comey's testimony. i can see why

he didn't want to testify in an open hearing. He was worse than I could have ever imagined based on my reading. it's been reported that he said he "didn't know" something like 245 times. but some of the things he said he didn't know about are very troubling imo.

a couple takeaways, Comey was an incompetent director and truly deserved to be fired. the things he DOESN'T know about gives the impression that he sat in his office playing candycrush and watching youtube videos.

more importantly, if no laws were violated in the FISA application I would be shocked but if that's the case then the entire procedure needs to be thrown out and a new, improved system with actual legal safeguards for US Citizens needs to be implemented ASAP.

here is a list of things I personally noted that Comey "didn't know" as I was reading through his testimony:


Whether or not the FBI was ever able to verify the Dossier

The scope, breadth, or number of Steele’s sub-sources

Whether or not the FBI was able to identify Steele’s sources

The date he signed the Carter Page affidavit

Whether or not that FISA warrant; which he signed, was titled “verified application”

Whether or not ALL FISA applications are titled “verified application”

Whether the word “verified” appeared in the FISA application whatsoever

Whether or not the FISA application demonstrated probable cause that Carter Page was an agent of a foreign power (Russian Federation)

Whether or not Carter Page was in a position to influence the Trump Campaign

Whether or not the Steele Dossier constituted any of the probable cause that Carter Page was an agent of a foreign power.

Whether or not information from Steele’s sub-sources would constitute hearsay.

Whether or not any FISA application is certified as verified

Whether or not the FISA application he signed was certified as verified

Whether or not McCabe testified that Steele dossier couldn’t be verified other than Carter Page traveled to Russia

Whether or not the Steele dossier was in its infancy in October 2016.

Whether or not Steele was terminated as an FBI source
When Steele was terminated as an FBI source

Has never reviewed a source termination report on Steele

Whether or not the source termination report included anything about the dossier being unverified or minimally corroborated

Whether or not he’s even concerned that he signed off the FISA warrant when it based on uncorroborated and unverified dossier information

Whether or not he was referring to the entirety of the Steele Dossier as salacious and unverified when he characterized it was such

Whether or not Sally Moyer was involved in the FISA application process

Whether or not Sally Moyer testified that the approval of the FISA wa 49-51 or 50-50 without the Steele Dossier information

What “work” means as it pertains to FBI sources or informants

Whether or not Steele was terminated as an FBI source for violating some FBI rule

Whether or not Steele was terminated as an FBI source for leaking to the press

Who could authorize a terminated FBI source to continue to provide information to the FBI

Whether or not Steele and Bruce Ohr had a working relationship

Whether or not there were any communications between Steele and Ohr

What Bruce Ohr’s job was

Whether or not a DOJ lawyer should be used as a conduit for evidence in a FISA application

Who in the FBI would have approved using Ohr to transfer information from Steele after Steele was terminated as a source

What the word “conduit” means in this setting

Whether or not any other terminated FBI source used any DOJ attorney as a conduit

Whether or not there is a duty to present exculpatory evidence to the FISA court

Whether or not a defensive intel briefing was done for candidate HRC

Whether or not a defensive intel briefing was done for candidate trump

Who in the FBI participated in any defensive briefings for the candidates if the briefings did occur

When he learned someone (Russians) wanted to intrude into the Trump campaign

Anything about Perkins Coie involvement while he was FBI Dir

Whether or not James Baker received information from Perkins Coie and related it to him

The name Michael Sussman while he was director

Whether there is a Brady obligation in a FISA application

Who was at the meeting where they discussed his meeting with Trump and subsequent memo

Whether or not Strozk was at that meeting

Whether or not Page was at that meeting

Who was #3 at DOJ

Didn't know who authorized Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson to sit in on HRC's interview

Doesn't know why witnesses in HRC were subpoenaed.

Doesn't know if Mills or Samuelson were provided questions to HRC's interview in advance

doesn't know if HRC was asked about Bill's and Lynch's mtarmac meeting

doesn't know if Bryan Pagliano was asked how told him to set up the private server

doesn't know who Paul Combetta is

doesn't knwo why Pagliano was granted immunity

doesn't know if Patrick Kennedy was interviewed

says he doesn't know who drafted the document to open the Crossfire Hurricane investigation

said he doesn't know the predicate for launching CH investigation

doesn't remember if he spoke to the FBI agents who interviewed flynn

doesn't know how the Steele dossier "got" to the FBI
