If would work out with 2 games per week for 15 weeks, 1 week of conf tourney, and 3 weekends of NCAA.
You could have Christmas tournaments instead of Thanksgiving tournaments, which compress an extra game and give you a day off later on if you want.
As a college basketball fan, I do not complain about these early dates at all. I like it. But I recognize that the average sports fan, who just happens to watch college hoops, pays no attention yet.
At the same time, the NBA would be WAY better if they started at Christmas and played 50 games in about 20 weeks. Cut the playoffs in half and made the first round (now conference semis) best of 5.
