journalist by the way, he still writes but not primarily. He has probably a base salary at the radio station, then bumps if ratings numbers are hit and then he probably has more leverage than most for a split of earnings from paid advertisers. So when the XYZ Tire Company sponsors his show, he can probably negotitate a better cut of those dollars because of who he is.
He's at the apex of St. Louis sports talk radio. He may make $400,000 or so. That business is 90/10. Ten percent of the people make 90% of the money. I have a buddy who's a radio guy on 101 ESPN, came from Chicago and he's always struggled to pay his bills.
