The government is arguing that the coaches were aiding the shoe companies for their own gain (wins). Only certain things are getting included. Paying a kid money to attend LSU is not a crime in and of itself. They have to prove LSU was harmed by the assistant coach and Adidas conspiring against them. It's weird but that's why obvious evidence isn't being included in the trial for the jury to see.
That's why when someone at KU or LSU declares no proof exists to convict so it's not a problem - they are idiots.
