elite players?
I've always heard that great players want to compete against other great players. But that ain't gonna happen when we play Tennessee Martin and other cupcakes on a regular basis.
I can just imagine other SEC coaches pointing out to recruits that Mizzou never plays marquee non-conference games, i.e. the kind that air on national TV.
To those of you who are thinking that UGA and some other SEC teams are playing fairly easy non-con schedules this year, I'll agree with you. But every other year or so they play a biggie that they can point to in the recruiting process. Even Vanderbilt is playing Notre Dame this year. aTm is playing Clemson. LSU is playing Miami (FL). Auburn is playing Washington. Meanwhile, our toughest non-conference game figures to be at Purdue, a team what was dog poo when the home-and-home was originally scheduled.
