Change the mascot, then start the discussion. MU moved conferences in an attempt to strive for excellence (granted that seems lost in our current approach), benchmarking against ku in the long run will only serve to prevent us from reaching our full potential.

But the first step should come from ku's side in finding a less offensive mascot.
