did a stint in prison, but had given his blessing to his ex-wife's new husband to legally adopt that person. In college, "dad" came back into their life and they had a relationship. "Dad" passed and about a year later, the person got a kit for Christmas, submitted their DNA, and found out "dad" was not dad. Ironically, the actual father was best friends with mom and adoptive dad. So, they'd hang out as couples. To make it even more bizarre, the real father had also knocked up another girl at roughly the same time (his NOW wife of like 50 years) and had a child who grew up in the same town as the person I know. Being opposite sex, could've dated at some point, but never did. Obviously they didn't know until a few years ago they were brother and sister (in their 50s), but if they HAD dated, married, and had a kid, chances are that kid would've had some birth defects. Crazy.
